Getting justice when you are hurt by someone else's negligence

Los Angeles residents place a lot of trust in one another, whether they realize it or not. Every time you take to the road, for example, you have to hold a certain level of trust that other motorists are paying attention to the road and following the rules of the road.

Unfortunately, other motorists routinely violate this trust by engaging in unsafe behaviors and not driving as safely as they should. Last week, for instance, this blog discussed how a number of auto accidents are caused by distracted drivers, including those who use hands-free technology or other technology that may be thought to be safe. In other cases, other motorists may be speeding, fail to yield or violate other traditional rules of the road.

Each of these behaviors may be used as evidence of the other driver's negligence in a personal injury lawsuit. As previously discussed, negligence law realizes that every driver owes a duty of care while on the road. When the other driver violates that duty of care and injures others in an accident, such as through distracted driving or other violations of the rules of the road, the driver may be found negligent. This, in turn, means the other driver can be ordered to pay compensation to those injured in the crash.

Our firm has represented many clients obtain the relief they deserve when he or she are injured by someone else's negligence. We examine the facts and circumstances of each case, including whether the other driver violated rules of the road or engaged in distracted driving before the crash. We can then put in place an effective strategy to use this evidence to demonstrate the other driver's negligence.
