RKM Attorneys Participate in Cancer Legal Rights Conference
RKM partners David Rosen, Greg Stamos, and David Galperson exhibited at the CANCER LEGAL RIGHTS CONFERENCE at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach on October 17. The Conference was organized by the Cancer Legal Resource Center of Loyola Law School, which operates as part of the Disability Rights Legal Center. Both Centers are nationally renowned for the resources, advice and counseling they provide to the community in the areas of legal rights of the disabled. RKM is on the professional panel of the CLRC.
This Conference, attended for the day by over 125 patients, family members, health care and other professionals, focused on the legal rights of cancer patients and their families, especially in the areas of health care; medical, disability, long term care and life insurance; employment rights; estate planning; and legislative activity.
RKM participated at the Conference by providing reference materials and on-site legal counseling to conference attendees. Additionally, David Rosen commented on specific rights to damages of California cancer patients and their families in the medical malpractice, workers' compensation, and toxic torts arenas in his remarks as luncheon speaker.
