Officially, David Galperson joined the firm as an associate attorney on January 1, 1996.  For all intents and purposes however, his involvement with the firm began on March 19, 1969, since David’s late father, Herbert Galperson, was a longtime partner with the firm prior to his death in 2016.  David himself became a partner with the firm on January 1, 2009.

David received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1992.  He earned his JD from Southwestern University School of Law 1995 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year.  David was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit that same year.  In 2005, he became a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law by the State Bar of California.  In 2010, he became accredited to handle claims before the Department of Veterans Affairs. He was first selected as a Super Lawyer™ in 2011 and has been selected to the prestigious list five years since.  He has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and has lectured to several groups on Workers’ Compensation Law.

David has represented injured workers at the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board as well as at the Department of Labor for injured workers covered under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act as well as the Defense Base Act.  Since 2004, David has focused the majority of his practice assisting the victims of asbestos exposure both in civil court as well as at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.  Long recognized as one of the leading experts in this highly specialized field, David has recovered tens of millions of dollars for the victims of asbestos injuries and their families.
